What It Takes To Be A Leader

Talk about changing realities. If you come to think of it, most of the people are not very sure about the world they live in. They don’t have a strong concept of reality, so it’s no wonder that they can’t act with confidence based on it.

The last sentence describes perfectly what it takes to be a leader. Is it that complex? No, not at all. And still leaders are the most highly valued people in our society. There is a single difference between the simple follower, and the confident leader, and it will shock you. That key is acceptance!

Just remember what happened on 9/11. People were running without any clue about where they were heading, but they didn’t really care. The thoughts in their minds were “Where did that friendly reality go? I want it back! I don’t want this one!!” . They were resisting the new reality.

They were not able to act upon it, of course. And they were searching for something – a leader, who can get them out of this mess. And what should this leader do – accept that this is how things are, because there is no point in resisting.

So do you want to be a leader? Well, then you know what to do!
