Action Is Always A Reaction… In A Strange Way
You must act instead of react. That’s so true… from a certain perspective. The truth from a different point of view is that you are always reacting, it’s just the way you react can be very different. Different way of reacting will make a difference in your life.
People are conditioned to react to certain things in certain ways. When they fail, they blame the curcumstances for their failure. Well, do you REALLY think you can learn this habit by yourself? Not a chance.
Since you were born, you observe your environment, and you learn how to react. Your only way to interact with this world, is by imitating the interactions of those, who on the surface seem to know what they’re doing. That’s not the case almost every single time.
You are not responsible for your actions at the age of three, not even at the age of 10. You haven’t seen enough patterns about how to behave, and how to react. That’s some kind of explanation, although I doubt it.
However, after a certain age, you have seen a lot. I bet, that you’ve seen some pretty successful people. Or people, who are bound to succeed. They react to things in a certain way, very different than the “normal people”. And this is actually the only natural way there is.
When you react to something, it is usually on an other than conscious level. You just know how to react, even if this means to suffer. One person feels bad when things don’t turn the way he wants. Another is just pushed towards striving for perfection with even more passion. Both of them are reacting – only one of them is really acting.
Is there a reason NOT to act? Just look at the big picture, and do what you do with passion and focus. Do things, because you see the meaning behind them, and not because this is a habit you don’t have a will to break. That’s not a valid reason, and you know it!
