Behavioral Change – Powerful Stuff!!!

May 27, 2008 · Filed Under Motivation, Success Theory

Making a change is never easy. Your friends, your relatives, even you doubt, that you can change. Even after you already did, you’ll have doubts. You know why? It’s called a comfort zone. And it’s what you must always stay out of. :)

Your comfort zone is the place in your head where you feel comfortable. The place, where everything you believe is true. It NEVER matters if that reality you live in is optimal. Your mind is shouting at you “You are still alive, arent you? As far as you know, if you change, you might die!!!” That’s bullshit.

That was surely helpful some millions of years ago, when your hardest (and only) challenge was to survive at all costs. Now you’ve evolved. Get used to it. That evolution gives you power, and with power comes responsibility. (Spidey, you rule! :) )

If you don’t accept it, the decisions you make in your life are based on instincts, that are no longer up to date. I’m not saying not to follow your instincts. Most of them are still valid in every area of your life. That’s a topic for a different post.

Staying out of your comfort zone becomes a habit – there is no other way. Once that happens, it will be tough, but damn it’s powerful. Every time you fear doing something different, that doesn’t mean there is something to fear. But be sure, that there is always something to gain. You’ll never know what you’re missing until you see it. If you don’t do that, later you’ll look back and regret that.

Is failure what you’re really afraid of? Is it?
Have you ever experienced real failure? Not really. The only way to fail in ANYTHING is to give up. And to have the opportunity to give up, you have to first try. And if you don’t give up… surprise, surprise – you can’t fail. You’ve failed when you say you have. And there is no point in doing that, is there? :)
